Dr Wilk has tremendous skills and loads of experience successfully treating sleep apnea! This is my third appliance from him in the past 12 years, since the appliances continue to evolve and improve. Far more comfortable than CPAP could ever be!!

The computer system you use is so poor that the staff were not even able to explain the information to me on the screen, as it kept generating errors every time they tried to open the file. They were also unable to print it initially, and when they finally did, the copy was of very low quality.

I requested that the document please be sent to my email or uploaded to a portal where I could personally review it in detail. I specifically requested the original file, not copies.

Additionally, my appointment was scheduled for 2:00 PM, but I was not seen until 30 minutes later.

I HIGHLY recommend Denver Sleep Apnea! I have been there several times for oral appliances because of my sleep apnea.
The entire staff is amazing, including Maureen, Brianna, Kanise, Vanessa, and Dr. Wilk.
It is rare to find a caring office like this. I strongly recommend them!

I went from making an initial appointment to having my oral device being ready to pick up in exactly two weeks. Everyone is helpful and kind, from the front desk staff to the medical assistant to Dr. Wilk himself. Most medical or dental practices don’t care about my high deductible insurance resetting, but these folks have gone out of their way to ensure that I had a consultation, measurements, and delivery of an oral appliance before the end of the year.

I had a great experience with Denver Sleep Apnea Center. I chose Dr. Wilk because his years of experience specifically in the field of Sleep Apnea Oral Appliances is exactly what I needed since I could not tolerate a tradition CPAP treatment. His Office staff Brianna and Marlen helped me navigate my insurance claim and appeal with patience and ease and we were able to get all of my care approved and covered. Both of the Medical Clinicians , Vanessa and Kanise were friendly, companionate, professional and answered all my questions and I felt very at ease in their care. I would highly recommend Dr. Wilk and everyone at Denver Sleep Apnea Center.

Communication within the office seems poor. This was the only place I could find that would deal with my insurance and provide the specific apnea oral device I wanted. When I made my first appointment, I told them I live a three hour round trip from them, and that I wanted to minimize visits where possible. I told them I still had dental work to do, and if I should finish that before my first visit. They said to come on in now, so I made my appointment. The staff was great, and friendly, and did great scans to prove to my insurance that a device would be effective. Then they started measuring me for my device. I reminded them I still had more dental work to do. They made another appointment, with another specialist copay for me, and I had to fight to get the copay removed - so far (over six weeks later) it still shows in the system in my insurance, so I have to keep checking to make sure it's eventually removed. And of course there was the extra travel. Then they called me back for a third visit because they needed to take more scans for the device. I tried to pin them down to admitting that they either didn't know the right scans to take in the first place, or that they messed up the first scans, but they were very rude about it. I had to make sure they didn't charge a copay for this. So far six hours of unnecessary driving and time away from my small business.

When I got the device, and tried it on in their office, I could feel it rubbing in a few places, and the tech told me they could only grind down one place and then they would have to return the device to the manufacturer. I have had this same device twice before and the offices have always just removed as many spots of material as necessary to make sure it doesn't rub. So I took the device home to wear it until I was absolutely sure of every spot where it was rubbing, leading to me having multiple mouth ulcers of course. But now I have the device marked so it can go back to the manufacturer if they won't grind it down themselves.

Then, after two weeks of wearing it (ahhhh the sweet apnea relief, it's the best brand of apnea device I've ever tried) I had sudden horrible tooth pain. The next morning (a Friday) I had a doctor's appointment in the city right near Wilk's office. I called them as soon as they opened. I told the receptionist that I had tooth pain so bad that I was uncontrollably sobbing each time the ibuprofen started wearing off. She told me they only had one tech in that day. I begged to be seen, and she said I could come in at midday. I said I would come over and wait in their office in case they had a cancellation. She asked me to wait on the line, and the tech came on. She said they absolutely could not see me that day, and that the doctor wasn't in anyway. I told her I was in terrible pain to the point of sobbing and she said to make an appointment for the next week, and that they might be able to see me on Thursday. I asked her what I should do about the pain, and she just repeated the doctor wasn't in that day. She didn't even send me back to the receptionist, she just hung up. I understand that they were short staffed that day, but ... seriously? If I didn't have to see them again for this device to get it adjusted, I would never set foot in that office ever again. I will be contacting the manufacturer to see if I get different insurance, if I can have the same device adjusted somewhere else in the new year. In the meantime I will suck up the hundreds of dollars it's cost me in emergency endodontist fees over the weekend.
